Mount Pleasant you say? Yes! With less than a year under our belts as a newly organized congregation and recognized member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, we are venturing out again into familiar territory. This familiar territory is not the geographic area across the rivers, but the familiar territory of sharing Jesus Christ as Savior through Word and Sacrament.

August 27 will be our first meeting in Mount Pleasant. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is generously offering the use of their beautiful new board room as the location for this organizational meeting.

This new mission is specifically being formed to reach the population of Daniel Island, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, and the corridor along highway 17 from Mount Pleasant to Awendaw and McClellanville.

We already have several members of Good Shepherd that live in the Mount Pleasant area and they will form the core group of this new mission. There are many others that each of knows that are looking for a church, looking to find Jesus, or in many cases looking and not knowing that they are looking. You can help this mission by passing along the contact information of everybody that you know to Pastor Sandeno.

During the month of August, we will be getting the word out that a new mission that values the Bible as God's Word is forming. As a member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, the Mount Pleasant mission will be faithful in proclaiming justification by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
