September’s Bible study brought visitors from much further away than any Hungry Neck location. Sarah’s grandparents were in town visiting from Wisconsin and joined us for our evening of study and fellowship. This first study was spent discussing what makes Christianity different from all other religions; what is our authority for teaching; and what is the focus of that authority and our teaching. The answers should not surprise you. Christianity is the only religion that teaches grace and mercy given through faith by a loving God; The Bible is our only authority by which all teaching is measured; and certainly it is Jesus Christ, his life, death, and resurrection that is the central teaching of all Scripture and God’s grace given to us by Him through faith.

It was a wonderful beginning and we welcome all to join us for our next Bible study and potluck on October 15 at 5:00 pm. The location in Mt. Pleasant is yet to be determined.
