Mission News: Since August of 2006, we have been meeting once a month in Mt. Pleasant for Bible study in different homes. Last month the direction of this mission outpost has changed. April will mark the first Service of the Word as this mission moves from Bible study to preaching station. Thanks to the research of Aloha Dwyer, we have a central location in Mt. Pleasant to meet on a regular basis. The Palms of Mt. Pleasant will provide us their auditorium on Wednesday evenings for each service. The Palms is a retirement complex which includes various independent living facilities and a nursing home. Recently bought by a new management company, the sign displayed on the street still reads, "Colony House." This situation is wonderful for both the Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Mission and The Palms of Mt. Pleasant. We are given a place to worship and the residents are given an opportunity to attend a Wednesday evening church service. Continue
to keep the Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Mission in your prayers The Talsmas, our missionary family in Guatemala, have been in touch this past month. Please continue to pray for them. Next month’s issue of The Good Shepherd News will feature highlights from their newsletters and ideas on how we can help them share Jesus with so many people in need. Back |
