While the month of December might seem to be the slow month for progress in areas that do not demand immediate attention, Tamara was able to attend a meeting of the Charleston Association of Grant Professionals at the public library. This meeting introduced her to a “new world” of funding through corporate grants of all shapes and sizes.

A special thank you to Nancy Winton who made us aware of this meeting and the vast number of possibilities through different grants. Nancy has also given much thought to the prospect of a Lutheran school in Charleston. She has drafted a multiple page document that outlines great possibilities for funding various aspects of Good Shepherd Lutheran School.

We look forward to a continued and prosperous relationship with Charleston Association of Grant Professionals and especially Nancy.

As we continue praying for the future of Good Shepherd Lutheran School, the Board for Christian Education is in need of a few interested members to work through this planning stage. If you are interested, please contact one of the Church Council members or let Pastor know.
