I look around and I see the face of the neighborhoods around me changing. As I drive along I find that there are new roads being built into woodlands that will soon be home to many hundreds of houses. New phases are still being built in the existing neighborhoods as well. These may be hidden from view, but they add hundreds of more homes to our ever growing community.

These homes represent a large increase in the local population. These homes represent parents and children that will be seeking the best opportunities in education. Many will be looking for a solid Christian education, some will accept a Christian school because of its reputation. In either case, we find ourselves in the unique situation of working to meet a need of our community with a ministry that has a long tradition in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. The Lutheran day school has been an integral part of many of our congregations dating all the way back to the earliest immigrants.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School will provide a wonderful environment to educate children, both Christian and non-Christian, in God's Word. It is a joyous calling to serve God through the teaching and proclamation of His Word to the next generations.
