Annual events, such as Spoleto Festival USA, the MOJA Festival, the Cooper River Bridge Run, the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, and the Charleston Food + Wine Festival, attract many visitors who fall in love with the city and return each year.


Charleston is known at the "Holy City" for the many church steeples in its skyline. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is the only Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregation in Charleston to offer traditional Lutheran worship. Our mother congregation, Grace Lutheran Church in nearby Summerville, also offers traditional Lutheran worship.
